Ironman Helmet/Mask Tutorial Part 1

In this tutorial, we’ll create an Ironman helmet.

First, create a New Part. Then select Sketch and open Right Plane:

Create centerline:

Then, create two more lines: first line — 55 millimeters, second — 75 millimeters:

Then, circle:

Select these two lines:

…And Mirror them:

After that, Trim unnecessary lines:

Select Revolve, and set it to 180 degrees:

Choose New Sketch on this surface:

Normal To, and create a drawing as follows. First line is 40 millimeters, second — 50 millimeters and the angle between them — 125 degrees:

Draw two more lines, the first line is 25 millimeters and the angle is 45 degrees:

Now enclose the drawing by adding four supplementary lines:

Select Extrude Cut and select Through All:

Now choose Right Plane, then Reference Geometry, and put 100 millimeters:

On that new plane, create new sketch and draw 3 lines: 60 millimeters, 50 millimeters, and 30 millimeters:

Now draw a new line to connect the edges, select the 3 outer lines, mirror them, and remove the inner lines:

Choose option Extrude Cut, Through All:

Now create a 5-millimeter Chamfer on this edge:

Click option Shell, and select all inside surfaces:

Click OK for the following result:

Then, on this surface create a new Sketch:

Select Normal To and click on this point:

Draw a line at an angle of 45 degrees:

Then draw three more lines to enclose a new surface:

Trim unnecessary lines, select Features / Extrude and set the depth to 2mm:

Now we need to create a new plane. Click Reference Geometry / Plane. Then click one side of the part:

…And the other side, so that the plane appears between them:

Now select Plane2 and Boss-Extrude:

…And Mirror them:

Select Plane1 and Hide View. Do the same for Plane2:

We are now done with this part. Save it to file as Part1:
